When is the best time to apply for my Pakistan visa?
The best time to apply for your Pakistan visa is 1-2 months before your travel date. However, if you are running short on time, we may be able to process your visa on a faster service at the Embassy’s discretion.

Do I have to send you my passport to get a Pakistan visa? Is it safe to send a passport?
Yes. You will need to send your actual passport, not a copy of it. The Pakistan visa is stamped on your passport and will become one of your passport pages. Visa request cannot be processed without your original passport. Because of the importance of your passport, we strongly suggest that you send your application by a secure method, such as a guaranteed postal service or courier.

Sample of the Business Travel Requirements for an Pakistan Visa for UK Citizens

  1. Passport

    The applicant's actual passport. The passport must: 

    • Have at least one blank visa page
    • Be valid for six months beyond entry date

  2. Photographs

    Two passport sized colour photographs. The photographs must:

    • Have a white background
    • Be taken within the last six months

  3. Business Introduction Letter

    An original letter of introduction from the applicant's UK employer. This letter must:

    • Be addressed to the Embassy
    • Be on company letterhead paper
    • Include the name of the applicant
    • Specify the purpose of journey
    • Include the name of the organisation(s) to be visited
    • Specify the requested number of entries and the length of visa required
    • Include an acceptance of financial responsibility for the applicant
    • Be signed by the applicant's supervisor or the company's HR department

  4. Letter of Invitation

    A letter of invitation from the company the applicant is visiting. A copy is acceptable. This letter must:

    • Be on company letterhead paper
    • Include the name of the applicant
    • State the purpose of journey
    • Specify the requested number of entries and the length of visa required

  5. Proof of Financial Means

    Evidence of available funds. This must be provided as:

    • A copy of the applicant's last three bank statements

  6. Proof of Address

    Evidence of UK address. This must be shown as:

    • A copy of a utility bill showing applicant's current UK address

  7. Photocopy of Application Materials

    A clear copy of the information page(s) from the applicant's passport

  8. Visa Application Form

    One fully completed and signed application form. This form must:

    • Be completed in black ink only
    • Be completed in block capitals only
    • Have Q.xiii completed in full with the name, address and contact details of the hotel/company to be visited in Pakistan       

  9. VisaCentral Order Confirmation

    For orders placed on the VisaCentral website, a copy of the Online Order Confirmation which is sent to you via email, must be submitted.

    For all other orders, and where applicable, a completed Manual Order Form should be submitted.

  10. Personal Appearance

    • Applicant's of Afghanistan or Indian origin are personal application only at this Embassy

    A letter from the applicant's employer confirming employment. This letter must:

    • Be on company letterhead paper
    • Include the name of the applicant

    • State the applicant's expected return to work date
    • Be signed by the applicant's supervisor or their HR department

  5. Proof of Financial Means

    Evidence of available funds. This must be provided as:

    • A copy of the applicant's last three bank statements

  6. Proof of Travel Arrangements

    Details of travel arrangements. These must be provided as:

    • A copy of the flight confirmation
    • A copy of the hotel confirmation
    • A letter from the applicant's travel agency/tour operator confirming that onward/retun tickets have been purchased  

  7. Photocopy of Application Materials

    A clear copy of the information page(s) from the applicant's passport

  8. Visa Application Form

    One fully completed and signed application form. This form must:

    • Be completed in black ink only
